Job summary

Wellstar in the United States is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT procedures, ensure high-quality diagnostic images, and adhere to ALARA principles to minimize patient dose.

Collaborate with technologists and physicians to verify orders, prepare patients, and maintain accurate documentation in RIS/PACS. Strong patient communication using AIDET is essential to reduce anxiety and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
