Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia.

You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain efficient workflow and accurate documentation within RIS/PACS. This role offers a sign-on bonus, relocation support, and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and pre/post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat or adjust as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Document findings accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; support department flow with technologists/modalities.
