Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care in a hospital radiology setting. The role supports a collaborative care team and emphasizes safety and patient experience.

The CT Technologist will perform scans, administer contrast per protocol, and ensure accuracy in documentation within RIS/PACS. A minimum 1 year radiology experience and ARRT certifications are required. Relocation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reimage if needed; release patients accordingly.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
