Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital to perform CT procedures, ensure safety and high-quality imaging, and deliver a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative radiology team to manage exams, contrast administration, and documentation in RIS/PACS.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology program, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification in Radiography is required.
• ARRT-CT certification in Computed Tomography is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Disinfect rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Perform exams with contrast using proper venipuncture technique.
• Document results and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies.
