Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a compassionate patient experience. You will work as part of a collaborative radiology team, performing CT exams with attention to safety and diagnostic excellence.

The role requires a Radiologic Technology program completion, ARRT certification, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with emphasis on patient care and adherence to ALARA practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and compliance.
