Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Maintains current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ARRT (R) and CT or NMTCB (CT) certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits professional judgment in performance of imaging services.
• Delivers patient care while recognizing patient conditions to ensure successful procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Assesses patient condition and needs for age-specific care.
• Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Positions patient/equipment to obtain high quality diagnostic images.
• Ensures safety, adherence to radiation safety principles and QC tasks.
• Assists in training student technologists and new staff.
• Uses radiology systems accurately and maintains patient confidentiality.
