Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ARRT certification within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Exhibits professional judgment and maintains a demeanor aligned with quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Adheres to Baptist Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
• Assesses patient conditions and age-specific needs.
• Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Performs patient identification, records clinical history, and ensures accurate documentation.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Assesses images for quality and accurate annotation.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Participates in Quality Control tasks and standards.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration and manages adverse reactions.
• Maintains safety precautions to prevent cross-contamination.
• Assists in supervision and training of technologists.
• Uses Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Ensures safety of all customers and maintains attendance per policy.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Provides patient transport as needed.
