Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist for the Floyd Medical Center in Georgia. The role involves CT scanning, ensuring patient safety, preparing patients, documenting procedures, and coordinating with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging.

You will verify orders, obtain proper patient identifiers, administer IV contrast as needed, and adhere to radiation safety policies. ARRT CT certification and BLS are required, with the CT registry completed within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• ARRT CT certification within 1 year of hire; BLS required.
• Knowledge of growth and development principles and patient population needs.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Refer and question orders to Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Prepare patients with full explanations and document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for complete medical history and review EMR for pertinent history.
• Record medical history on requisitions and correlate results with the exam.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document on MAR when applicable.
• Operate CT scanners and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment malfunctions.
