Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT technologist to join our radiology team in Georgia. You will perform CT scans, assist Radiologists during procedures, and ensure patient safety and protocol adherence.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, administering IV contrast, and documenting procedures. The role requires ARRT radiology certification and completion of CT registry within one year, plus BLS. Flexibility with shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine; advanced registry in CT within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients and obtain consent, preparing them with a full explanation of procedures.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures; adhere to sterile technique.
• Administer IV contrast per protocols; record contrast type and amount on request.
• Ensure radiation safety and report malfunctioning equipment; maintain safe working environment.
• Provide patient care, report changes to nursing staff, and participate in life-support procedures when needed.
• Rotate shifts, including call backs, holidays and weekends, following attendance policies.
• Operate radiology computer systems, enter orders, and document contrast administration in MAR.
