Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and manage imaging workflows. The role requires ARRT CT certification, a radiologic technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

You will adhere to ALARA principles, maintain equipment, and collaborate with the radiology team. Responsibilities include contrast administration, venipuncture, patient comfort, accurate RIS/PACS documentation, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Maintain and disinfect equipment and rooms, report issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before exams.
  • Communicate procedures clearly using AIDET, addressing patient questions and reducing anxiety.
  • Administer contrast and perform venipuncture using sterile techniques when needed.
  • Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and ensure image quality; review images for diagnostic acceptability.
  • Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, manage image transfers, and retrieve prior exams.
  • Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment.
  • Organize workflows, support department operations, maintain supplies, and ensure compliance with regulations.
