Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT procedures and produce diagnostic images. You will operate imaging equipment independently, ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation dose while maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, verifying orders, explaining procedures with AIDET, administering contrast, and documenting in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum one year of radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS.

  • Perform CT procedures per department protocols to produce diagnostic images.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, focusing on patient safety and dose minimization.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and report issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient ID before exams.
  • Explain procedures clearly and use AIDET to address questions and comfort.
  • Administer contrast agents and position patients with proper safety measures.
  • Review image quality, repeat/correct images as needed, document in RIS/PACS.
  • Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate workflow and ensure regulatory compliance in the department.
