Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams under the Radiologist's guidance. You will care for patients across all ages, ensuring safety and quality in imaging procedures.

The role requires ARRT registration, AMA/JRCERT credentialed education, and BLS certification, with preference for at least 6 months of radiology experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited program.
  • ARRT certification and ARRT registration are required by law.
  • BLS certification and preferred 6 months radiology technologist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT examinations under supervision of Radiologist.
  • Provide patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations.
  • Follow prescribed standards and ensure ionizing radiation safety.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
