Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT examinations under radiologist supervision and provide comprehensive patient care across all age groups. You will work within the Radiology department to produce high-quality cross‑sectional images using ionizing radiation.

The ideal candidate holds an AMA/JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certification, and BLS; 6 months of prior radiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• ARRT certification required.
• R registration required by law (American Registry of Radiologic Technology).
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: 6 months experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
