Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a CT Scan Technologist to join our night shift team, performing CT exams with contrast and handling patient data and imaging workflow. Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton may be required to provide departmental support.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited radiology program, ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, and Massachusetts licensure, with strong patient care and communication skills for a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• ARRT or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with department standards.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork and billing accurately and promptly.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• Perform exams, QC images, and send exams to PACS for physician review.
• Assist with inventory and procurement of supplies.
• Support urgent exam requests and scheduling as needed.
• Perform CT exams with contrast media under radiologist or ER physician direction, and establish IV access.
