Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join its Radiology team in Worcester, MA. You will prepare patients for CT exams, operate the CT scanner for diagnostic and interventional procedures, and assist Radiologists while maintaining ALARA radiation practices.

You will also train new technologists, manage patient records, and ensure equipment readiness in a dynamic hospital setting with a focus on patient safety and quality imaging.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology is required.
• RTR licensure in Massachusetts is required.
• CT modality requires a Sub-specialty (CT) certification within 1 year of employment.
• BLS certification is required.
• Maintaining CEUs for ARRT/DPH as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing CAT scans and prepare patients for exams.
• Position patients and instruct on the procedure to obtain the desired diagnostic image.
• Operate CT scanner for interventional studies (biopsies, drainages, aspirations, spinal injections).
• Assist Radiologist during procedures as required and ensure safety and radiation protection.
• Prepare CT images for Radiologist review and manage records in RIS/PACS.
• Train new CT Technologists and students and maintain equipment and supplies.

Education

ARRT certification in Radiology

RTR licensure (Massachusetts)

CT modality sub-specialty certification

BLS certification

Maintaining ARRT CEUs as required
