Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform CT examinations for inpatients and outpatients under radiologist direction. The role is non-exempt and reports to the Senior CT Scan Technologist and department leadership, providing direct patient care within department policies.

Responsibilities include data collection, accurate record-keeping, and prompt submission of paperwork. The position involves night shifts (7p-7a) with a 36-hour week and a potential signing bonus

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by ARRT or NMTCB in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Prompty and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
