Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform CT examinations for inpatients and outpatients, with night shift hours and travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as needed. The role requires ARRT/NMTCB certification and MA licensure, with a focus on accurate data recording and patient care.

Responsibilities include IV access, image QC, and prompt PACS submission, while supporting department policies and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with department standards.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Performs CT exams using contrast media under department policy; establishes IV access.
• Sends exams to PACS for physicians to review.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide support.
• Adheres to department policies and participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
