Job summary

Watson Clinic is seeking a patient access and scheduling support role to verify demographics, insurance information, and referrals to ensure accurate appointments and billing. You will manage scheduling, confirmations, and referral attachments with attention to detail and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision with an ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
• Must have basic knowledge of Windows-based computer applications.
• Must have accurate keyboard skills.
• Prefer one-year billing experience within medical or insurance environment.
• Basic medical terminology understanding.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographics to avoid duplicate patients and update emergency contacts.
• Obtains and verifies current insurance information when scheduling and arriving appointments.
• Communicates with MCR to verify referrals are entered with appointments.
• Schedules and cancels appointments accurately and reschedules bumped patients.
• Reviews exam screening forms and prepares patients for the examination; administers oral contrast per protocol.
