Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte, NC seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners, perform imaging procedures, and ensure patient safety. You will work with Radiology staff across departments, manage contrast administration, document procedures, and support clinical teams during emergencies.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT radiology certification, BLS, and experience with EMRs. This role requires adherence to radiation safety and hospital policies within a full-time, on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT Certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare patients and document in worksheets.
• Record medical history from EMRs; correlate test results with the exam.
• Oversee exam from start to completion of dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and record details as needed.
• Assess image quality and consult Radiologist; adjust as required.
• Perform basic patient care and support during emergencies including code blues.
• Conduct CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA; maintain sterile technique.
