Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scans, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient safety from preparation to post-dictation reporting. You will work with Radiologists and PA staff to deliver high-quality imaging while adhering to safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT radiology certification (or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine) with CT registry within one year, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient; refers to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identifies and assists patients; explains procedures and documents on worksheets.
• Reviews EMRs for clinical history and requisitions; correlates results with exam.
• Obtains contrast material as directed and records type/amount as needed.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety and follows infection control policies.

Education
