Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and safely perform routine CT procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality imaging. Requires ARRT certification or registry eligibility, CT registry readiness within 90 days, and a current state license with BLS.

Candidates should be able to work independently, communicate clearly, and travel between facilities as needed. Excellent patient care and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification or registry eligibility with CT certification plan within 90 days.
• Current state license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CT registry eligibility within one year of becoming CT registry eligible.
• Advanced CT certification within one year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure accuracy of procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment to complete CT procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Perform routine quality control per regulatory standards.
• Support departmental operations and equipment maintenance.
