Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on quality and patient safety. You will work with acutely ill patients and collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure efficient, accurate imaging and proper documentation, while adhering to ALARA guidelines.

Qualified applicants will have ARRT RT and CT credentials, Connecticut licensure, and 1–2 years of CT experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA-approved school.
• Must meet ARRT registry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide CT and diagnostic imaging exams with quality radiographs.
• Inform patients with full details and expectations of procedures.
• Maintain competency on multi-slice CT scanners for all patient populations.
• Facilitate patient flow, prioritize inpatients, ER, and urgent outpatients.
• Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Operate all equipment according to manufacturers' specifications and ALARA radiation guidelines.
• Work all shifts and weekends as needed.
