Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform quality CT and radiographic exams, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort. You will verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and participate in daily workflow within the Diagnostic Radiology team at Bridgeport Hospital.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT certification, CT certification, CPR, and a CT license in Connecticut, with 6–12 months of CT experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program with ARRT certification and CT licensure.
  • ARRT certification and CPR certification required; CT certification preferred.
  • Connecticut State License must be held.
  • AS degree is required; a BS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality diagnostic radiographic exams for radiologist interpretation.
  • Verify physician orders 100% of the time as observed by supervisor.
  • Operate radiographic equipment to ensure correct technical results.
  • Inspect CT equipment daily and report malfunctions.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies for exams.
  • Explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Schedule radiologic exams accurately to support billing.
  • Chaperone patients when necessary.
