Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program with ARRT certification and CT certification preferred.
• Connecticut state license required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
• Six months to one year CT experience recommended; good communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic radiographic exams and work as part of a radiology team.
• Verify physician orders and ensure timely image processing and PACS allocation.
• Operate radiographic equipment and CT scanners, inspect equipment daily.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Provide compassionate patient care, explain procedures clearly, and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Schedule imaging exams and contribute to accurate medical records and billing.
• Participate in teaching opportunities and assist students and technologists.
• Operate CT equipment and related software to produce diagnostic CT images with minimal errors.
