Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health, Bridgeport Hospital, seeks a CT technologist to deliver high-quality imaging in a patient‑centered care environment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient interactions while supporting the care team.

Under supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager, you will perform CT exams, follow imaging protocols, and assist with scheduling, communication and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT RT(R) certification required; CT certification or 20 years CT experience.
• Connecticut state license required; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams using appropriate imaging protocols and maintain quality imaging.
• Assist with scheduling, requisitions, pre-authorization, and exam communications.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Relate pertinent information to radiologists and staff to minimize errors.
• Operate CT scanners and perform QA tasks per program guidelines.
• Participate in teaching, learning, and research opportunities in radiology.
