Qualifications

• Must have ARRT registration in Radiography and CT.
• G.E.D./high school diploma required.
• Connecticut state radiographer license is required.

Responsibilities

• Explain exam to patients and take allergy history.
• Prepare room, linen, and power injector setup.
• Maintain IV start proficiency per radiology guidelines.
• Assist patients on and off the scanner table.
• Manage patient flow including inpatients and ER cases.
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic scans with appropriate technical factors.
• Ensure accurate documentation (billing, insurance, day log, PACS).
• Annotate ROIs, measurements, reconstructions and reforms.
• Maintain good communication with team and departments.
• Operate equipment safely under radiation guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures with hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens.
• Meet performance expectations for customer service and teamwork.
• Perform other duties to ensure smooth department operation.
