Job summary

Bluefors in Syracuse, NY is seeking a versatile Engineering Technician to support product development. You will plan, set up, and conduct tests on cryogenic products and prototypes, calibrate instruments, collect data, and report findings to engineers.

You will create and revise 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, review drawings, collaborate with drafting and manufacturing, and help implement process improvements while maintaining a safe, organized lab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in engineering, test, or manufacturing technician role.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and 3D CAD modeling is required.
• Strong data collection and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and perform engineering tests on cryogenic products and prototypes.
• Set up and calibrate measurement equipment and test beds; document data.
• Create and revise 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Review drawings and BOMs with drafting and manufacturing teams.
• Identify issues during testing and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab and support cross‑functional projects.
