Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this well-rounded role provides vital technical support throughout product development, working closely with drafting, engineering, and manufacturing teams to keep projects moving forward. If you enjoy planning and conducting tests, creating 3D CAD models, troubleshooting prototypes, and working in a dynamic environment powering breakthroughs in cryogenic technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Interested? Keep reading!

Your tasks as an Engineering Technician will include planning, setting up, and performing engineering tests on cryogenic products, components, and prototypes in accordance with test plans and procedures. You will set up, calibrate, and verify measurement equipment, instrumentation, and test beds, as well as collect, record, and organize test data to prepare clear documentation and review findings with engineers. Additionally, you will assemble, troubleshoot, and modify prototypes, test fixtures, and tooling, while using Autodesk Inventor to create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and drawings in support of the engineering team. You will work with the drafting team to review and revise drawings, bills of materials, and related documentation for accuracy and manufacturability, and partner with manufacturing on prototype builds, new product introductions, product handoffs, and training as needed. Your role also involves identifying issues during testing or assembly to recommend corrective actions and process improvements, providing flexible support across engineering projects, reporting on progress, problems, and solutions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lab and work area along with performing additional responsibilities as assigned.

We are looking for an Engineering Technician candidate who highly prefers an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or certification from an accredited trade or technical school, along with a minimum of three years of experience in an engineering, test, or manufacturing technician role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You must have working proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software (3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings), familiarity with CAD practices and drafting standards, and hands‑on experience performing engineering or product testing, including data collection and documentation. Required technical skills include precision measurement ability, basic wiring and electrical assembly, basic manual machining and mechanical assembly skills, and advanced mathematical abilities in algebra, trigonometry, and graphing. You should also demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis, advanced ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating instructions, test procedures, and engineering drawings, and a strong commitment to quality and safety. Aligning with our Leadership Principles, you must display excellent problem‑solving skills, self‑motivation, high attention to detail, dependability, and an excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively across engineering, drafting, and manufacturing teams.

We also appreciate candidates with welding and fabrication experience, as well as those who demonstrate a proactive mindset for identifying process improvements and design enhancements. A strong team‑oriented approach, flexibility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and a hands‑on attitude toward cross‑functional collaboration will help you excel in this role. Candidates who uphold our company values including safety, organizational effectiveness, continuous learning, and quality, will thrive in our engineering environment.

We offer you an interesting, challenging, and responsible position as well as the support of a highly skilled growth organization. This is an excellent opportunity for your own professional growth in a dynamic, enthusiastic, and professional team where we work together, and we support each other. We have a multicultural work environment with room to grow, where you can use your potential and develop your skills.

We offer a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), long‑and‑short‑term disability, life insurance, training, tuition reimbursement, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
