Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Liquid Systems Responsible Engineer with cryogenic fluids experience to support hardware ownership of cryogenic propellant management components for the Blue Moon lander. The role blends design support with manufacturing engineering, requiring collaboration across disciplines.

You will translate requirements into manufacturing processes, contribute to DFx activities, and help ensure producibility, quality, and safety in a fast-paced environment with travel up to 25%

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant field required.
• 5+ years in cryogenic fluids or related manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Experience in aerospace systems development, integration, or certification for flight.
• Hands-on with fluid/gas components: valves, manifolds, regulators, vessels, instrumentation.
• Experience translating requirements into manufacturing processes (DFM/ DFA).
• Experience with Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware ownership of cryogenic propellant management components across design and verification.
• Participate in subsystems design, integration, and supplier interfaces for fluid hardware.
• Translate engineering requirements into manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Lead DFM/ DFA reviews and address manufacturability concerns.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs: work instructions, flow diagrams, inspection plans.
