Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver, CO seeks a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to advance our zero-g propellant management hardware. This role spans concept to release, creating Creo models and drawings for valves, manifolds, tubing, and pressure vessels, and delivering manufacturable designs.

You will collaborate across teams, support hardware ownership, and ensure conformance with drafting standards, GD&T, and CN release processes while working in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience supporting the development, integration, or certification of aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (solenoid valves, manifolds, regulators, vessels, instrumentation).
  • Experience with Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies.
  • Proficiency with Creo Parametric for parts, assemblies, weldments, and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Experience with CN/ECN release processes and configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Work on complex cryogenic subsystems and components as part of the Zero-g Propellant Management Product Team (IPT).
  • Support hardware ownership from definition through delivery, contributing to design, verification, and integration activities.
  • Track internal and external procurements and hardware dependencies to support subsystem delivery schedules.
  • Contribute to a diverse range of propulsion design tasks — trade studies, component design/integration, first-order analysis, test support, supplier interface.
  • Develop, modify, and release Creo models, assemblies, and drawings for cryogenic hardware (valves, manifolds, tubing, pressure vessels, support structure).
  • Generate fabrication and assembly drawings per drafting standards and GD&T requirements.
  • Follow CN release process and Windchill configuration management.
  • Create Interface Control Models/Drawings for cryogenic fluid system hardware.
  • Deliver geometry to analysis teams for FEM.
  • Support manufacturing plan development and integration on vehicle.
  • Perform model/drawing checks and participate in design reviews.
