Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team, focusing on cryogenic propellant management hardware. You will develop Creo models and drawings, lead GD&T compliant designs, and coordinate with suppliers through releases and tests.

The role covers the full life cycle from concept to release, working across interfaces and ensuring manufacturability and safety in a high-performance spaceflight program.

Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics or related technical subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience supporting development, integration, or certification of aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components such as valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels.
  • Proficiency with Creo for parts, assemblies, weldments and drawings.
  • Solid GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5 and application to hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Work on complex cryogenic subsystems as part of the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT.
  • Support hardware ownership from definition through delivery, including design and verification.
  • Track internal and external procurements and dependencies for subsystem delivery.
  • Contribute to design, verification, and integration tasks for cryogenic hardware.
  • Develop, modify, and release Creo models and drawings for cryogenic hardware.
  • Create interface control models/drawings and data for analysis teams.
  • Maintain CAD conventions and CN-controlled release processes.
  • Support vendor RFQs, fabrication, inspection, and proof-test packages.
