Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to support model-and-drawing work for cryogenic propellant management hardware. You will develop Creo models and drawings from concept to release, work across the product life cycle, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver safe, reliable hardware for space missions.

The role requires strong CAD skills, understanding of cryogenic systems, and experience with GD&T and configuration control.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area.
• 2+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
• Experience supporting development, integration, or certification of aerospace systems for flight.
• Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels).
• Experience with Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies.
• Proficient with Creo Parametric for parts, assemblies, weldments, and drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with configuration management/release processes (CN, ECO, ECN).
• Manufacturability awareness for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex cryogenic subsystems and components within the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT.
• Support hardware ownership from definition through delivery, including design, verification, and integration.
• Track internal and external procurements to support subsystem delivery schedules.
• Contribute to a broad range of design-engineering tasks including trade studies, first‑order analysis, and supplier interface.
• Create and release Creo models and drawings for cryogenic hardware; ensure GD&T compliance.
