Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Process Operator Specialist for its Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Starbase. You will monitor cryogenic distillation, turboexpanders, and high-purity LOX production, under supervision of senior operators. The role emphasizes procedural compliance, data logging, and readiness for watch standing.

Responsibilities include startup/shutdown steps, field rounds, equipment troubleshooting, and adherence to PSM and safety standards in a demanding, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years in industrial operations or plant environments.
• Experience with P&IDs and process diagrams.
• Experience in cryogenic or industrial gas facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and hazard analyses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ASU via DCS/HMI and perform field rounds.
• Assist plant startups, shutdowns and mode changes safely.
• Support troubleshooting and calibration of ASU equipment.
• Collect samples, log data, and escalate deviations.
• Follow LOTO, PTW and PSM procedures; maintain housekeeping.
