Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line, is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to support the Hotel Manager aboard our ships for the 2026 season. This role ensures service standards and guest satisfaction on our US-flag fleet operating within the United States.

The AHMs supervise hotel staff, assist with dining, housekeeping, guest services, and ship operations, and report to the Hotel Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Hotel & Restaurant Management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Business degree may be considered with management and hospitality experience.
• Military experience may be considered with management and hospitality experience.
• Minimum 3 years management experience at a full-service hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Available to travel and work a flexible schedule including long days for extended periods of time.
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator, at the direction of the Hotel Manager.
• Assist Hotel Manager as directed and assist Dining Room Manager during meal services.
• Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when off ship 1–2 times per week.
• Oversee bar operations and manage wine/liquor inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and guest-focused service aboard the ship.
