Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to support the shop management process and drive cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives.

The role collaborates across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental to optimize performance. You will coordinate with the rental department, assist with PM scheduling and technician work planning, and contribute to improving customer satisfaction while managing running costs and maintenance overhead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution experience preferred.
• Advanced PC skills including spreadsheets and word processing.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support shop management processes and drive cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives.
• Coordinate with Rental to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
• Collaborate with Sales on customer calls for new business and increased satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads, ensuring policy compliance to optimize expenses.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee PM scheduling and technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.
