Job summary

Mercado Libre in Miami, USA, is seeking a logistics operations professional to own end-to-end first mile supervision, manage drop-off points and deviations, and oversee the Miami XD operations. The role also focuses on service-level compliance, capacity planning, and operational visibility with providers.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation operations with hands-on exposure to first mile, linehaul, cross-docking or fulfillment center operations and SLA accountability.
• Strong analytical skills: work with operational data, detect deviations and translate findings into concrete action plans.
• SQL proficiency required: independently query databases, cross-reference data and build monitoring views without BI or data engineering support.
• Proven experience supervising third-party providers (3PLs, carriers, logistics operators), including performance reviews and SLA enforcement.
• Excellent communication skills for internal reporting and operational leadership with providers.
• Fluent English required (US providers); Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• First mile network supervision: supervise the end-to-end first mile operation in the US, ensuring on-time Line Haul arrivals/departures and accurate carrier assignment across active lanes.
• Drop Off Point and deviation management: guarantee Drop Off Points are operational and connect cargo to MIA per agreements, resolving deviations in real time.
• Miami Cross-Dock (XD) operations: oversee the third-party Cross-Dock in Miami, ensuring daily seller pickups within agreed windows and validating vehicle capacities.
• XD service compliance: monitor compliance with service levels, KPIs and SLAs at the Miami XD, coordinating capacity for volume fluctuations and peak demand.
• Operational visibility and provider management: develop tracking reports for real-time visibility and risk anticipation, leading daily provider calls on incident management and service improvement.
• Network evolution: contribute to designing new flows as the modular network evolves, partnering with Control Tower, FC Operations and International Linehaul teams for end-to-end continuity.
