Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc. is recruiting a Crop Consultant to develop new prospects and manage relationships with growers in Viborg, SD. You will drive sales of agricultural inputs, ensure on-time delivery, and consult with growers on crop issues to recommend appropriate actions.

The role requires 2+ years in agriculture, knowledge of agricultural chemicals, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. A university degree is preferred, with a strong focus on customer service and profitability.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred; in lieu, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in agriculture industry, as well as application of agricultural chemicals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase agricultural inputs sales to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including, but not limited to on time and accurate delivery and quality of product
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk and provide information to Credit Manager to determine credit limits
• Collect outstanding accounts receivables from customers
• Perform other duties as assigned
