Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a field sales professional to grow agricultural inputs sales among growers in Michigan. You will build strong relationships, advise on products, and help meet revenue targets while supporting customer success.

Ideal candidates bring solid agriculture knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work with internal teams to deliver value to customers and Nutrien.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred, in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years' experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, as well as the application of agricultural chemicals.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Sales experience preferred in fruit/specialty crops

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with growers to increase agricultural inputs sales.
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on-time and accurate delivery and quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products.
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk and provide information to Credit Manager to set limits.
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned
