Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to administer anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and contribute to a high-volume academic health system.

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current APN/CRNA certification are required, along with ACLS, BLS, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• APN with CRNA Specialty required by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cath lab work.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
