Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for a range of surgical and cardio-thoracic procedures. The role includes participating in clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students.

The candidate must graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, hold APN with CRNA certification from the Alabama Board of Nursing, and possess ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
