Job summary
UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations. The role includes clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current APN-CRNA certification with ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required by the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
