Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and cardio-thoracic procedures, including cardiac catheterizations. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and contribute to a prominent academic medical center’s mission.

Eligible individuals must hold CRNA/APN certification by the Alabama Board, with ACLS, BLS and PALS current.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA specialty certified by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
