Job summary

Nelnet Business Services (NBS), a division of Nelnet, Inc., is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects aligned to business objectives. You will define scope, schedules, resources, and governance while tracking progress and decisions.

This role partners with sponsors and cross-functional teams, manages risks, and facilitates meetings. A hybrid work option is available for candidates near an office location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• PM certification such as PMP or CAPM preferred.
• 3–5 years of project management coordinating cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through full lifecycle (initiation to closeout).
• Develop and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and clarify roles and priorities.
• Monitor progress and communicate status, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Facilitate meetings and document outcomes.
• Manage changes through governance and approvals.
• Coordinate budgets, resources, vendor activities, and admin tasks.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement with lessons learned.
