Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver strategic initiatives. The role partners with sponsors and teams to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes and apply established project management practices to a variety of complex builds.

You will manage full lifecycle projects, align expectations, and drive continuous improvement while navigating governance and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of project management experience coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Experience communicating status and facilitating decisions with sponsors, teams, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through full lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with scope, milestones, and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams; clarify roles, priorities, and expectations.
• Monitor performance and communicate progress, risks, issues, and decisions to sponsors.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, dependencies; escalate as needed.
• Facilitate meetings, track outcomes, and follow up on commitments.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and resources through governance.
• Coordinate budgets, resources, vendors, and related admin tasks.
• Maintain project documentation for transparency and accountability.
• Apply lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.
