Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking an experienced Critical Care Transport RN to deliver high-acuity care en route between facilities. You will work with an EMT and dispatch to assess patients and provide skilled nursing care on transport, supervising ongoing care and documentation.

Requirements include an active RN license, 3+ years in critical care or ED, ACLS/PALS, and preferred CEN/CCRN or BSN. Shifts are 24-hour/12-hour typical with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 3 years of experience in a critical care or emergency department environment.
• ACLS and PALS certification prior to hire.
• CEN and/or CCRN certification preferred.
• Patient transport experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• EMT-B bridge course offered upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing during interfacility transport.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and other staff to maintain a safe transport environment.
• Safely lift and transfer patients in and out of ambulances and facilities.
• Operate emergency vehicle safely and respond to dispatch instructions.
• Complete accurate documentation per company policy.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and supplies to Northwest Ambulance standards.
• Attend continuing education and adhere to EMS protocols.
