Job summary

Northwest Ambulance in Washington state seeks a Critical Care Transport RN to deliver ICU‑level care during interfacility transport. You will assess patients, manage therapies, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective transfer.

Active RN license and 3+ years in critical care or ED are required; ACLS/PALS certification is mandatory, with CEN/CCRN preferred. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, uniforms, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with current credentials.
• Minimum 3 years in critical care or emergency department settings.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required prior to hire.
• CCRN or CEN certification preferred or pursued.
• Experience with patient transport is preferred.
• BSN preferred; EMT-B bridge course provided on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing during interfacility transport.
• Deliver care using ACLS protocols and transport orders.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and families to ensure safety.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in various settings.
• Operate ambulances safely and follow dispatch instructions.
• Complete accurate documentation per policy.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and supplies to standards.
• Follow WA EMS protocols and company procedures.
• Attend continuing education and training.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
