Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking a Critical Care Transport RN to apply advanced nursing skills in a mobile, patient-centered setting. You’ll deliver ICU-level care during interfacility transports, supervising care en route and coordinating with physicians and teams.

This role emphasizes autonomy, predictable schedules, and ongoing education, with ACLS/PALS requirements, and a path toward CCRN/CEN. A nurse with ICU or ED background will thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced transports.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• 3 years of experience in a critical care or emergency department environment.
• ACLS and PALS certification prior to hire.
• CEN and/or CCRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• EMT-B bridge course will be offered upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care at a critical care / advanced life support level during interfacility transport.
• Deliver care using critical care nursing skills, ACLS protocols, company protocols, transport orders, and pharmacological knowledge.
• Coordinate directly with physicians, nurses, allied health staff, patients, and family members to maintain a safe transport environment.
• Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, and residences.
• Operate the emergency vehicle safely at all times and respond to dispatch instructions.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain vehicles, stations, communications equipment, medical equipment, and supplies to Northwest Ambulance standards.
• Follow Northwest Ambulance policies and procedures, including Washington State and County EMS protocols.
• Attend and participate in continuing education.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and company operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
