Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Response Transport Team. The role focuses on patient assessment, carrying out critical nursing care, and providing transport services to patients. The nurse will supervise care during transport, ensure safety, complete documentation, and respond to dispatch instructions.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with ACLS/PALS, and possibly CEN/CCRN. EMT-B bridge may be required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 3 years of critical care or emergency department experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certification required prior to hire.
• CEN and/or CCRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• EMT-B bridge course to be offered upon hire and completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and critical nursing care during transport.
• Supervise patient care, treatment, and assessment during transport.
• Safely lift and transfer patients and operate emergency vehicles.
• Complete documentation and respond to dispatch instructions.
• Maintain safety standards, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
• Keep vehicles and stations clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
