Job summary

MetroHealth in Cleveland is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). The role supports congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis patients with high-acuity needs and telemetry monitoring. Work involves EKG interpretation, airway management and bedside procedures in a 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and monitor telemetry.
Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers and therapists to coordinate care.
