Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) to support the Cardiac Hospitalist Team. This full-time role features rotating shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a) and weekend/holiday rotation with a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, ventilator/ventilation support, bedside procedures, and collaboration with PCNAs, providers, and PT/OT staff in a 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and Ohio RN licensure.
• Current ACLS/BLS per requirements or within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for CCU Step-Down patients in a 24-bed unit.
• Provide EKG interpretation and rapid clinical assessment.
• Administer care including central lines, BiPAP, high-flow O2, and vent/trach support.
• Assist with bedside procedures and coordinate with the healthcare team.
